For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.
I was a stranger and you invited me in.
I was sick and you looked after me.
I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
    Matthew 25:35-36

Jenks CarePoint is a Christian based ministry sponsored by Jenks area businesses and churches and managed by a team from First Baptist Church Jenks, First Oklahoma Bank, Yale Cleaners, and South Tulsa Baptist Church.

“Our mission is to serve the students and families of Jenks Public Schools and the community by providing resources and programs to meet physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs as we share the love and hope that is found in Christ.”

We serve as the primary clothing closet for Jenks Public Schools, by providing clothing and shoes to all ages, free of charge.

Jenks Carepoint will be the location for an afternoon of service by the staff and families of Jenks East Elementary on Sunday, February 9th from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.

We are so thankful for the support that we receive from JEE and so many of the JPS campuses through volunteering and special donations.

How Can You Help?

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matthew 25:35-36).

Jenks CarePoint is staffed by volunteers and there is always a need for more workers to help.

  • Work with clients in the clothing room
  • Conduct intake interviews in order to determine a family's need
  • Special projects such as building maintenance

We need businesses and churches to:

  • Regularly collect clothing for the CarePoint
  • Consider making this ministry a part of your Business or church budget
  • Become part of our ministry team

CarePoint accepts (may be new or gently used):

  • Men's and women's clothing in all sizes
  • Children's clothing in all sizes
  • New underwear and socks in all sizes
  • Shoes in all sizes
  • Coats in all sizes
  • Blankets
  • Sheets, towels

Special Projects

Prom is just around the corner and CarePoint will be hosting a special event to give dresses to those in our community who might not otherwise be able to enjoy such a  special evening.  If you have gently used semi-formal dresses that are just taking up space in your home, please consider bringing them to CarePoint for our Homecoming

All donations are tax deductible.

Immediate Needs

The items below are currently in short supply at CarePoint.  All donations are tax deductible

  • Toddler and children's shoes

  • New children's, men's and women's socks and underwear

We have been incredibly blessed by several community, church, and school groups as well as individual families that have come to CarePoint to help sort clothing and do a myriad of other projects as we have experienced an incredibly busy fall and Christmas season.

However, we can never have too many volunteers.  We receive many donations each day, and sometimes struggle to keep up with them all.  If you or a group you are involved in would like to schedule a time to come and help, please call (918-600-2099) or email (kara@jenkscarepoint.org) and we will give you all the details. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are thankful for such wonderful donations!! We would love to have you come and help us get them sorted!
